What is Rastr?

Rastr is a desktop editor for artists who think in curves but need pixel-perfect output. Draw shapes the way you would in a vector tool: real anchors, real bezier handles, boolean merges between shapes. Keep them fully editable on a vector layer, or rasterize them straight into hard-edged pixel art on a raster layer. Mix both approaches on the same canvas, layer by layer.

Features

• Vector-first drawing. Rectangles, circles, polygons, and freehand paths with proper bezier handles, corner/curve toggling, and boolean union merging between shapes.
• Hard-edged pixel tools. A raster brush and shape tools with zero antialiasing, a rectangular marquee selection, and a transform tool that moves or scales pixel selections with nearest-neighbor scaling so nothing ever blurs.
• A real layer system. Vector and raster layers side by side, opacity, seven blend modes, clipping masks, and one click to convert a finished vector layer straight to raster.

• A built-in pixel-art palette. DawnBringer's DB32 out of the box, plus your own saved swatches.
• Undo/redo everywhere, light and dark themes that follow your system setting, and a settings panel for grid size, delete confirmations, and file handling.
